Introduction to RELIC SPACE:
Relic Space is a turn-based, roguelike RPG with ‘4X’ strategy elements where you work to rebuild civilization after a galactic disaster. As a legendary Omega pilot you will engage in hex-based space combat explore over 40 unique sectors complete missions and upgrade your ships with hundreds of equipment options.
In the game, you’ll use tactical skills in fast-paced, one-tile-per-turn space combat on a hex grid. The combat mechanics are deeply simulated, with realistic damage to individual ship components, and you’ll need to manage heat, energy, and fuel levels wisely. You can freely explore a procedurally generated solar system with handcrafted elements. There are 4 main factions and 7 minor factions that pursue their own goals, but your actions can influence their success or failure.
As you progress you will use your reputation and influence to acquire more powerful ships and equip them with countless weapon and utility combinations. and You will also gain new piloting abilities through a flexible skill tree and research relics to unlock new powers and equipment. The setting is immersive with a rich narrative campaign and endless procedurally generated stories inspired by hard sci fi.
The games movement rules are based on actual space physics moving in a straight line is free, but turning, starting, or stopping costs energy. Set in the year 2612, the galaxy is in ruins. You are a member of Omega, an elite pilot wing of the Order, a community of genetically engineered supersoldiers. After failing to prevent a disaster known as the Fall the Order now aims to recover lost knowledge and rebuild civilization but a new threat is emerging that endangers their very existence.
