The game features a massive interconnected world with true Metroidvania progression offering fast and responsive combat where you play as a seriously agile mushroom and The spell system lets you get creative by casting spells through your sword in multiple ways, adding depth to combat.
The platforming challenges are reminiscent of modern classics like Celeste but set in a fully open world, with most hardcore platforming tucked into optional side rooms. You can also customize your experience with four difficulty modes and an accessible Assist Mode.
Combat is simple but deep, allowing you to parry attacks and shoot projectiles back at enemies. Emblems you find throughout the game can alter how your parry works, giving you various tactical options. Relics, similar to the Charm system in Hollow Knight, let you customize your playstyle with 60 different options, focusing on defense, healing, speed, melee attacks, or spell-casting. Permanent upgrades from boss battles unlock new spells, moves, and attack types.
Face off against 28 distinct bosses to gain new abilities. Each boss battle is designed to be fair and engaging with clear attack patterns and cues. Most of the platforming is optional, so you can focus on combat and exploration, but there are practice rooms if you want to tackle the game’s toughest platforming challenges.
The game offers four difficulty modes, customizable controls (including a dedicated down-attack button), and a full-featured Assist Mode.
